Duvet & Shades AB, a limited company (aktiebolag) registered in Sweden and trading as Duvet & Shades. We can be reached at hello@duvetandshades.com, which is our only customer contact channel.
All prices are shown in euros and include Swedish VAT at the rate applying to the item for delivery within the European Union. Shipping is added at checkout according to the shipping page. For delivery to Norway, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, local import VAT and any duty are collected by the carrier and are not included in our price.
Where a price is shown struck through next to a lower price, the struck-through figure is the lowest price at which we ourselves offered that item during the 30 days before the reduction began, and that item was sold at that price for at least 30 consecutive days within the previous twelve months. We do not raise a price in order to show it reduced, and no reduction on this site exceeds 18 % of the previous price.
Discount codes are applied to the goods total before shipping. A code with a minimum basket value is stated as such, applies only when the goods total meets it, and cannot be combined with another code.
Placing an order is an offer by you to buy. We confirm receipt by email, but the contract is made only when we email you that the goods have been dispatched. Until then we may decline an order — for instance if an item has sold out or was priced wrongly — and will refund any payment in full within five working days.
Down, feather, wool and buckwheat are natural materials. Small differences in fill weight within the stated tolerance, variation in the shade of undyed wool, an occasional feather quill working through a shell, the settling of a wool topper described on its page, and the rustle of buckwheat hulls are properties of those materials and not defects.
Payment is collected at checkout by our payment provider by card, PayPal or SEPA transfer. Card numbers are entered with the provider and never pass through or rest on our systems. This demonstration storefront takes no payment at all.
Delivery times are estimates in working days from dispatch. The goods are at your risk from the moment they are delivered to the address you gave. If a parcel is lost in transit we replace the order or refund it, at your choice, once the carrier confirms the loss or 15 working days have passed since dispatch, whichever is sooner.
As a consumer you may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving the goods without giving a reason, as EU law and the Swedish Distance Contracts Act provide. We extend this as follows:
Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days of the goods reaching us. Where you exercise the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal on an item that has been used beyond what is needed to examine it, we may deduct an amount reflecting the loss in value, as the law allows.
You have the right under the Swedish Consumer Sales Act to complain about a fault in the goods for three years from delivery, and under EU law the goods must conform to their description. In addition, and without limiting those rights, we guarantee for 5 years from delivery that no baffle wall or quilting seam will open and that the fill will not migrate so as to leave a chamber empty and unrecoverable by shaking. If either happens we repair or replace the item at our cost, with postage both ways inside the EU. The guarantee excludes damage from laundering contrary to the care instructions, tears, burns, stains, pet damage and the described settling of a wool topper. Its full scope is on the about page.
The text, photographs, product names and designs on this site belong to Duvet & Shades AB. Every product is made to our own specification. We do not make, sell or imitate any other company's products, designs or trade marks, and nothing on this site is offered as a version of, or as being equivalent to, another brand's product.
We are liable for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or of our negligence. We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be excluded under Swedish law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from use of the goods contrary to the care instructions.
Write to hello@duvetandshades.com. We acknowledge within two working days and aim to resolve the matter within 14. If we cannot agree, you may refer the dispute to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN), whose recommendations we follow, or to the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
These terms are governed by Swedish law. Swedish courts have jurisdiction, without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country in which you live or of your right to bring proceedings there.
We may change these terms for future orders. The version that applies to your order is the one published on the day you placed it, and the date at the top identifies it.
