The soft down pillow is a single chamber of goose down with no feather core, so it compresses to almost nothing under your head and springs back when you turn over. Front sleepers, who need very little under the neck, like it; so do people who hug a pillow or fold one over.
It is not a supportive pillow and it is not meant to be. If you sleep on your back or your side and wake with a stiff neck, this is the wrong one; look at the Medium, or at the wool or buckwheat pillows, which hold a shape. Like all down, it needs a shake every morning and an airing once a week.
