A straight-sided drum shade in washed linen laminated to a white backing, so the light through it is warm and even and the slubs and thick threads in the linen show up as a soft texture. It fits a standard lamp holder and comes with a reducer ring for the smaller size. Three diameters: 20 cm for a small bedside lamp, 25 for a standard one, 30 for a table lamp in a living room.
Fabric shades yellow slowly with heat and tobacco smoke and cannot be washed. Use a bulb of 40 W equivalent or less, keep it dusted, and expect it to look its best for five or six years.
