A hollow-fibre duvet with a difference you cannot see: the fill is spun from recycled bottles rather than new polyester. It behaves like any good synthetic duvet, which is to say it is hypoallergenic, it dries in an afternoon and it goes in a normal washing machine at 60 °C, which is the temperature that kills dust mites.
What it does not do is breathe like down or wool. Hot sleepers will find it clammy, and after five or six years of regular washing the fibre flattens and the duvet is ready to be replaced. We say that plainly because it is also why it costs a third of the goose.
